Red Seal pastry chef, owner of The Flying Apron Bakeshop in Comox, British Columbia, two-time bronze medalist and one-time silver medalist in the Skills Canada BC Provincial baking competition from 2014-2016 and 2018.

During her training and competition experience, she learned that practice and time management were crucial factors.

Kayla opened The Flying Apron Bakeshop in January of 2022, with some of her first items being
croissants and cakes. Christmas of 2022, Kayla and her team produced 10,000 baby gingerbread!

 

 

Kayla is a community superstar! Her bakery whips up delicious treats which she later donates to a local church food bank, regularly.

Fun fact: Kayla’s passion is bringing wedding dreams to life by catering to every little detail and making the happy couple’s vision a reality!
