Shoshawna is a Red Seal Baker, former Skills Canada BC competitor, and Competition & Program Coordinator who has come full circle in the Skills world. Her own Skills journey began on the competition floor, where she earned a provincial gold medal in baking and discovered a passion for the opportunities, connections, and confidence that competitions can create.
Today, Shoshawna works behind the scenes to help bring Skills Canada BC competitions and programs to life. She supports competitors, volunteers, teachers, and partners throughout the province, helping create experiences that inspire young people to explore their skills and pursue careers in the trades and technologies.
When she’s not talking competitions, you’ll likely find Shoshawna baking something from scratch, hanging out with her two dogs, dreaming up a new creative project, or yapping at the gym. She brings a little bit of baker’s precision, a lot of creativity, and plenty of heart to everything she does. Having been a competitor herself, she knows just how much a little encouragement can mean, and she’s passionate about making sure every competitor feels supported, celebrated, and proud of what they can accomplish.
