February – March 2024
With assistance from teams of dedicated Regional Coordinators and Committees, Skills Canada BC will host its in-person Regional Competitions in communities around the province (January to April 2025) in the K-12 and Post-Secondary education systems.
Skills Canada BC’s Regional competitions provide opportunities for competitors and student spectators, to learn about careers in the skilled trades and technology sectors by watching live competitions and try-a-trade activities.
How to Get Involved
Determine which region you are in, based off your school district, and email the corresponding regional coordinator. They will be able to answer questions pertaining to the competitions in your area and connect you with Shoshawna Blair ([email protected]) to set up your username and password so you can start registering your students for competitions! Regional coordinator contact information and corresponding districts can be found on this page by scrolling to each regions list of events or by visiting the Regional Coordinator Contact page on our website.
2025 Regional Acknowledgement of Risk and Photo Release
If your school district does not have blanket acknowledgement of risk/photo release which covers risks and allows the local host site or college to use a competitor’s photograph, Skills Canada British Columbia will be using a paper Regional Acknowledgement of Risk and Photo Release that is located here.

Spectator/School Bus Subsidy registrations are now OPEN!
The Registration link for the Provincials 2024 Spectator Bus Subsidy can be found here!
The Skills Canada BC School Bus Subsidy amount for the Provincial Trades and Technology Competition 2024, at the Tradex in Abbotsford, will be $250 per bus, maximum 1 bus per school.
As there are limited bus subsidies available, this will be a first-come, first served basis. You will receive an email to confirm if your bus subsidy has been approved.
Upon approval, a reimbursement form will be emailed to you which will need to be completed in addition to the receipt for the bus by June 1, 2024.
You will need to book your own bus in advance. Kindly note that last year buses were scarce and we highly recommend booking as soon as possible.
Schools that plan on attending and bringing buses and who are not applying for the bus subsidy can email [email protected] to confirm intended time of arrival, departure and approximate number of students.
