2027 Spectator/School Bus Susbidy – Registration Opens November 16, 2026
We’re excited to announce that in coordination with the 2027 Skills Canada BC Provincial Competition & Pathways to Careers Showcase, we are once again offering the spectator/school bus subsidy, so that you and your school can join in on the excitement!
This year is expected to be bigger and better than ever with 50+ competitions to view, over 50 booths at the Pathways to Careers showcase, including hands on activities such as Try-a-Skill, AI and virtual reality booths and more! This year also marks the qualifying year for WorldSkills Japan, in 2028!
The 2027 Spectator Bus Subsidy registration will open on November 16, 2026. Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement towards the Provincial event, we look forward to seeing you there!
The Skills Canada BC School Bus Subsidy amount for the Provincial Trades and Technology Competition on April 14, 2027 will be $200 per bus, maximum 1 subsidy per school. You are welcome to attend with more than one bus, but will only be subsidized for one.
As there are limited bus subsidies available, this will be a first-come, first served basis. You will receive an email to confirm if your bus subsidy has been approved. Upon approval, a reimbursement form will be emailed to you which will need to be completed and accompanied by the receipt for the bus by June 1, 2027.
You will need to book your own bus in advance. Kindly note that in previous years buses were scarce, and we highly recommend booking as soon as possible. As well, the mornings for this event have historically been busier than the afternoon for school visits so we do recommend, if possible, booking an afternoon bus if that is an option for your school to visit at that time.
Any questions can be directed to Shoshawna Blair, Competition and Program Coordinator: [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you at Provincials 2027!
