Skills Canada National Competition 2023

Skills Canada’s Nationals 2023 will be held May 25-26, at the RBC Convention Centre in beautiful downtown Winnipeg.

Skills Canada and its Member Organizations including Skills Canada BC promote skilled trade and technology careers to Canadian youth. The Skills Canada National Competition s the only national, multi-trade, and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. Each year, more than 550 competitors from all regions of Canada come to SCNC to participate in over 40 skilled trade and technology competitions. By providing a forum where Canadians can compete at the national level, SCNC provides hands-on work experience related to skilled trade and technology careers.

Same as at Skills Canada BC’s Provincial 2023 competition at the Tradex, student visitors have the unique opportunity to try over 50 Try-A-Trade® and Technology activities, explore the “Career Zone”, visit exhibitors and ask questions to industry professionals in person. Every year, thousands of students visit SCNC for a chance to discover exciting and rewarding careers in skilled trades and technologies.

Winnipeg is Manitoba’s vibrant capital city and is considered the gateway to Western Canada and the heart of the nation. The city has more than 6,000 years of history as a result of its significance as an Indigenous meeting place. From the 17th to 19th centuries, the area flourished as the hub of Canada’s fur trade and then later again as a key site of early railroad development. With a population of 776,900 (2020) culturally diverse people, Winnipeg is a four-season destination with a cosmopolitan flair and warm, welcoming spirit.
