Skills Canada Regional Competition saw Success from Coast Mountain College Students, Secondary Students, and Apprentices in the Northwest.
In April 2023, Coast Mountain College hosted the annual Skills Canada BC Regional Competition. At this competition, 44 students ranging from secondary students to apprentices from all over the Northwest Region competed in Carpentry, Culinary Arts, Welding, Auto Service, and Hairstylist. Of these, seven regional winners went on to compete at the Skills Canada Provincials in Abbotsford, BC representing “Team Northwest.”
For 30 years, Skills Canada BC has organized competitions at regional and provincial levels to showcase and celebrate the diversity of skilled tradespeople around the province. “The Skills Canada BC competitions are an incredible opportunity for young tradespeople to showcase their skills while striving for excellence in their trade.
