WorldSkills Lyon September 10-15, 2024

Join us in congratulating, celebrating, and cheering on Angie, Zachary, and all of Team Canada for getting to where they are today!

Now that the Olympics have come to a stunning end with a total of 27 Canadian Medals, it’s time for us to cheer on our own Canadian competitors, as they embark on their journey to WorldSkills Lyon, showcasing their skills in their respective trades and technologies for the chance to prove themselves as the best in the world!

From BC, we have two strong and passionate competitors, Zachary Van Boeyen and Angie Zhang, representing Canada at WorldSkills Lyon 2024.

Zachary is competing in Industrial Control and attends BCIT. He has been training with his coaches Allen Song and Clarence Burlock and Team Canada Expert Éric Beaumier.

Angie Zhang is competing in Fashion Technology and is a student at Eric Hamber Secondary School. She has been training with her coach Nina Ho and Team Canada Expert Jozée Dulude.

In addition to cheering on all of Team Canada at WorldSkills Lyon 2024, we will be cheering extra hard for Zachary and Angie! We have watched them, firsthand, train with extreme diligence to always be improving their skills.

You can watch the Opening and Closing ceremonies, and possibly other live footage from the event, on the WorldSkills YouTube Channel. Opening ceremonies are on September 10th and closing ceremonies are on September 15th. You can also follow the action on the WorldSkills InstagramFacebook and X platforms and the Skills Competences Canada InstagramFacebook and X platforms!

Join us in congratulating, celebrating, and cheering on Angie, Zachary, and all of Team Canada for getting to where they are today!
