Getting Your Students to the Skills Canada National Competition: Transportation Assistance Available

Skills/Compétences Canada (SCC) is offering transportation assistance for student visitors in British Columbia to get to the Skills Canada National Competition! The event is being hosted at the Vancouver Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver and is easy to get to via school bus or public transit.

What types of transportation qualify for assistance?

  • School buses (up to $500 for a round trip)
  • SkyTrain
  • SeaBus
  • Other

Other types of transportation may also qualify. Please specify on your registration form.

Why should you register your class for SCNC 2002?

  • Students will engage in fun, hands-on, career exploration with over 40 Try-A- Trade® and Technology activities to choose from!
  • Students will have an opportunity to explore well-paying, and in-demand career paths in the skilled trades and technologies they might not have considered before!
  • Students will be inspired by watching some of the nation’s best students and apprentices compete in their chosen skill area!

We have an extensive Covid-19 safety plan that goes beyond local health regulations and includes mandatory proof of vaccination and masking for event attendees to keep visitors safe.

Student visitor registration for SCNC 2022 is FREE and time slots are available for both May 26 and May 27 between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
