We’re excited to announce that the 2026 Provincial Skilled Trades and Technology Competitions will be taking place at the Tradex on April 15, 2026.
This year is expected to be bigger and better than ever with 50+ competitions to view, over 50 booths at the Pathways to Careers showcase, including hands on activities such as Try-a-Skill, AI and virtual reality booths and more! This year we also have three WorldSkills competitors competing at WorldSkills Shanghai, 2026 that plan to be showcased at Provincials!
The 2026 Spectator Bus Subsidy registration is now open. Thank you all for your continued support and encouragement towards the Provincial event, we look forward to seeing you there! The Skills Canada BC School Bus Subsidy amount for the Provincial Trades and Technology Competition on April 15, 2026 will be $250 per bus, maximum 1 bus per school.
As there are limited bus subsidies available, this will be a first-come, first served basis. You will receive an email to confirm if your bus subsidy has been approved. Upon approval, a reimbursement form will be emailed to you which will need to be completed and accompanied by the receipt for the bus by June 1, 2026.
You will need to book your own bus in advance. Kindly note that last year buses were scarce, and we highly recommend booking as soon as possible. As well, the mornings for this event have historically been busier than the afternoon for school visits so we do recommend, if possible, booking an afternoon bus if that is an option for your school to visit at that time.
2026 Spectator Bus Subsidy applications can be submitted here.
Schools that plan on attending and bringing buses and but are not applying for the bus subsidy, or are not eligible, can register for free here.
Any questions can be directed to Shoshawna Blair, Competition and Program Coordinator: [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you at Provincials 2026!
