We’re excited to announce that the 2025 Provincial Skilled Trades and Technology Competitions will be taking place at the Tradex on April 16, 2025.
This year is expected to be bigger and better than ever with over 50 competitions to view, over 50 booths at the Pathways to Careers showcase, including hands on activities such as Try-a-Skill, AI and virtual reality booths and more! This year is also a WorldSkills Qualifying year for WorldSkills Shanghai, 2026! We would love to see you there!
Register here for the 2025 Spectator Bus Subsidy so that you and your students can join in on the excitement!
The Skills Canada BC School Bus Subsidy amount for the Provincial Trades and Technology Competition on April 16, 2025 will be $250 per bus, maximum 1 bus per school.
As there are limited bus subsidies available, this will be a first-come, first served basis. You will receive an email to confirm if your bus subsidy has been approved. Upon approval, a reimbursement form will be emailed to you which will need to be completed and accompanied by the bus receipt for the bus by June 1, 2025.
You will need to book your own bus in advance. Kindly note that last year buses were scarce, and we highly recommend booking as soon as possible. As well, the mornings for this event have historically been busier than the afternoon for school visits so we do recommend, if possible, booking an afternoon bus if that is an option for your school to visit at that time.
Schools that plan on attending and bringing buses and who are not applying for the bus subsidy can email [email protected] to confirm intended time of arrival, departure and approximate number of students.
Any questions can be directed to Shoshawna Blair, Competitions and Program Coordinator: [email protected]
We look forward to seeing you at Provincials 2025!
