Skills Canada BC Regionals Trades and Technology Competitions begin this week

We are excited to announce the Skills Canada BC Regionals are back in action and many are happening this week!!

Competitors will be competing in trades and technology competitions such as Automotive Service, Automotive Tech, Baking, Cabinetmaking, Carpentry, Car Painting, Culinary Arts, Electrical Wiring, Electronics, Fashion Technology, Graphic Design, Heavy Mechanical Service, IT Software Applications, Mechanical and Architectural CAD, Photography, Public Speaking, Video Production, Welding, 2D Animation and more!

Junior Skills will include Spaghetti Bridge, Sumo Robot, Wind Turbine and Gravity Vehicle.

Thanks very much to all our host competitions sites for hosting the Skills Canada BC Regional Trades and Technology Competitions.

Kick off started with Vancouver Island University hosting the Vancouver Island Central Regionals in Nanaimo, February 22.

Thanks to Byrne Creek Secondary for hosting 2D Animation (Secondary) on Feb 23.

Okanagan College will be hosting the Central Okanagan Regionals on February 24 in addition to College of the Rockies and Mt. Baker Secondary for the Kootenays region in Cranbrook and Vancouver Island North’s Regionals at North Island College in Campbell River.

Stay tuned further information and dates for Regionals being held in March and April.

We are excited to hear who the Gold medalists will be that will move on to compete at the Provincials at Tradex in Abbotsford on April 19, 2022.

Good luck to all competitors and thanks so much to all our volunteers, technical chairs, volunteers, hosts and educators. Without all of your support these trades and technology competitions wouldn’t be possible.
