Inventors Month Online Challenge!
May is International Inventors month, and May 4-10th was Occupational Health and Safety Awareness week. We want you to get creative and spread awareness about occupational health and safety!
Research a trade or technology of your choice, find a health and/or safety hazard and invent a way to spread awareness and try to prevent accidents from happening in that environment.
Contest Details:
- There may be up to 3 winners, one in each age group: Grade K-3, 4-8, 9-12.
- You must choose any trade or technology of your choice.
- You must include which Skills for Success is being used to prevent a workplace accident from happening.
- Invent your own way to spread awareness and prevent accidents from happening within your chosen trade/technology.
- Examples include but are not limited to posters, power points, edible diagram (i.e. sugar cookies), video presentations, etc.
- The deadline to enter is June 17, 2022 (Submit Entries Here).
Judging:
- Clearly present your chosen trade/technology – 1 point.
- Description of what you are aiming to prevent – 1 point.
- Creativity – 1 point.
- Description of which Skills for Success* was used – 1 point.
- A total of 4 points may be earned.
